Wobble Project

So this is what I have so far for my "dubstep" project. I'm posting this now because I'm not sure if I'll be here next week to post a final one. I basically created a dub sound through the 3xosc and put it into a simple pattern. Then I added a noise envelope with a volume and cutoff automation clip. I also took a vocal sample and then put it in to edison and chopped it to get the stutter effect. Lastly to my piece I added a simple poizone pattern and attached a volume automation clip to it. This so far has been a simple and straight forward project. The end.

Project 6+bass

Added bass to my last project, actually really like the bass that i added to the beginning. I think it makes it sound much more full and complete. Still not my best or favorite piece but its acceptable. I added bass to the beginning and and to my first synth; The one that goes with the first synth is in a different pitch and alternates between two notes. I didn't add any bass to the second synth cause I actually kinda think it sounded better being the only section without bass to it. For the other pieces of my project i used sytrus and created two different synths. I also used Poizone for my beginning synth and put an automation clip on the cut off filter. I repeated this pattern and automation clip (slightly tweaked)at the cut off leading up to the second synth. Ahh forgot to add I used a volume automation clip on my first filter..Added some all over the place drums and a highhat that I put vocoder and overdrive on again. *I'm really liking the way this makes highhats sound less harsh&you can mess around with the sound more. Well that's it all these pieces put together makes a pattern. Last post for this year. Lattaa :)

Project 6

The pattern never fails. I'm not sure I should even post this right now, that's how much I dislike it haha. Let me post what I have but I think I am going to try and fix this- updated post later.

Project 5

My project five is actually not done yet. I got it to a build up but haven't yet been able to really achieve what i want to happen after the build up. So here's my post for what I do have done. I started out by using the noise envelope and creating that awful sound in the beginning. I put it into my mixer and put fruity filter on it. I don't really remember what I changed in the filter but I think it was the cutoff frequency. Then I went in to sytrus and created a synth. I used the preset saw and then made the output filter1 and edited the synth to my liking. Then I was just messing around and came up with some notes that ended up being my "riff". Next thing i did was add some kick, because every song needs it :) I chose fls_kick07 because to me its the deepest kick and i like it. Then i also put it in to the mixer and put fruity limiter and fruity parametricEQ2 on it giving it a more full and hard "thud" to it so it would sound nice with a sub. Next Mr.Rabuse suggested I use the poizone synth since you can do so much with it. So i added poizone and we came up with three different patters to go along with my original synth. Then i added an automation clip on the amount envelope to make the synth swell and fall. After all that i was quite stuck with my piece so i went with a highhat ha. I put my hat into the mixer as well and actually put fruity blood overdrive and fruity vocoder on it. I thought this gave it a less harsh high pitched sound to it and made it more round. Then i added an automation clip to frequency envelope and made my highhat swell where my poizone synth fell. That leaves me with where I am now, a build to nothing. I'm sure i will think of somewhere my song can go, Its just taking me some time. So I hope you like what I've got :)

Project 4

I guess i go back and forth, one i don't like and one i do...so this one is a don't. But any who, for this project I used distorted metal channel, Phat bass, Fpc drums, fruity filter and the default kick drums. I started off with the distorted metal choosing three notes and then chopping them to get a pattern. After that I added the phat bass and chose main notes and points to hit that my guitar has. It was supposed to be more of back up but because of the settings I put for the fruity filter it made my bass seems more as the highlight. Of course as always I had to get some drums in there. (Iheartdrums) I chose the FPC breakbeat12. I like heavier drums but that wouldn't have went to well with this. After I had everything made up i started putting automation clips on the master volume, making it fade in, and on the phat bass making it fade out at one point and slowly back in so the transition was smoother. Well that's that, enjoy. If thats possible ha.
